Meet Dr. Naomi Iguchi
Licensed Clinical Psychologist & Board-Certified Neurofeedback Provider Specialist in Nervous System Regulation & Clinical-Grade Trauma-Transformative Modalities in Richmond, VA
I’m Dr. Naomi Iguchi—a licensed clinical psychologist, Board-Certified Neurofeedback provider, and registered yoga teacher specializing in nervous system dysregulation, trauma recovery, and integrative neuroscience-based treatments.
For more than 15 years, I’ve supported individuals across Richmond, VA in reducing chronic stress, resolving trauma patterns, and restoring emotional, cognitive, and physiological balance.
Today, my work centers on Embodied NeuroFeedback™, a comprehensive, evidence-based model designed for people who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, or chronic symptoms despite being highly capable and deeply self-aware.

-

Why I Do This Work
So many of the people I work with are outwardly successful—but inwardly exhausted.
I understand this pattern personally.
For years, I believed I always had to be composed and capable. But that constant pressure kept my nervous system locked in survival mode, leading to tension, reactivity, disrupted sleep, and chronic hypervigilance.
Creating Embodied NeuroFeedback™ was the turning point.
Harnessing the clinical-grade healing power of these modalities helped shift my nervous system baseline— from rigidity to flexibility, from vigilance to ease and from coping to thriving.
These personal and clinical experiences shaped my mission: to help individuals move out of a baseline of dysregulation, into a grounded, steady, and resilient way of being.
Who I Work With
You may resonate with my work if you are:
Highly capable, but overwhelmed
Feeling “on edge,” fatigued, or cognitively foggy
Stuck in cycles of anxiety, reactivity or stress
Recovering from trauma or chronic dysregulation
Experiencing physical symptoms connected to stress
Wanting an evidence-based, full-system approach to create deeper change
My clients are often thoughtful, self-aware, motivated individuals who are ready to move beyond coping strategies and into whole-system healing.
My Approach: Embodied Neurofeedback™
A whole-system clinical model integrating three evidence-based components:
-
Trains the brain to shift into more efficient, flexible, stable patterns.
-
Clinical-Grade HRV coherence training, vagus nerve stimulation, and optional neuroscience-based journaling to strengthen resilience during and between sessions.
-
Gentle, yoga-informed regulation practices that release stored tension, support interoception, and calm the system.
Together, these modalities correct dysregulation at its root—not just its symptoms.
